Special Events
From trade shows to grand openings, anniversaries and celebrations, KD/PR has years of experience assisting clients to put on memorable special events. In 2003, and again in 2006, KD/PR produced the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Citywide Cleanup. Kathy Day also was the volunteer Media Support Leader for the 2006 National Veterans Wheelchair Games, held in Anchorage in July. The Games received a record amount of local , as well as national and international media coverage.
Each year, KD/PR helps to produce special editorial sections for the Great Alaska Sportsman Show and Alaska Women's Show.
From assisting ASCG, a Native-owned architectural and engineering firm, with a proactive media relations plan surrounding its 20th anniversary, to the grand opening of Alaska's first long-term acute care hospital, St. Elias Specialty Hospital, KD/PR can help to make sure the event is well-planned, organized and successful.
We also have experience organizing conferences, coordinating children's contests, handling invitations, arranging for Mayor's or Governor's proclamations, overseeing catering and entertainment and arranging for dignitaries, celebrities or noted speakers to attend grand openings, awards ceremonies or other special events.
